ㅤbiographyㅤ Currently an officer of Special Division Zero in the Sekiseigumi, Ennis spends his work days and evenings by going on patrol through the streets of Kugane, where he often falls flat on his face after getting outrun by petty criminals. He originally joined the force due to an admiration for a detective (who - by some kind of fate - happens to be the chief inspector of his unit and his boss) solving a robbery case within his home village. Despite his clumsiness and constant failures during patrol, he was originally recruited for his determination and high spirit towards keeping the world peaceful. Sometimes his mishaps (and lack of pay) send him through a long night of drinking at a local bar, but at the end of the day he still perseveres to try his best.On his days off, Ennis often takes a trip around Eorzea to gather herbs and fish. Sometimes he would use his gatherings for his cooking, which in many instances end up being too experimental for any poor bystander's tastes. If a failure in patrol gets to him too much, he ends up going through the rigorous routine of exercise and sword training. When he needs downtime, he either practices barding or grabs a bite to eat with his beloved chief inspector.He was raised by two adoptive Au Ra fathers in a small Nagxian village, where they taught him how to tend fields of rice plants due to his Veena culture of gathering. Ennis has no memory of his childhood or how he initially ended up within the region of Othard, but his fathers and the village elder suspect that he was abandoned during the Garlean occupation. Despite this assumption, the village elder has deemed Ennis' origin very peculiar, especially due to his "powers" in being able to see and attract spirits of the dead. Some of the spirits bring him nightmares that depict certain events that seem like someone else's memories... or perhaps, his past life.
